Duncan Jepson

Duncan Jepson has dedicated his career to global issues of equity, accessibility, and sustainability. As the Founder and Managing Director of Liberty Shared NGO, he battled human and wildlife trafficking worldwide, and he now serves as Special Adviser to the Santa Marta Group. Under his leadership, Liberty Shared earned the Executive Associate Director Award for Exemplary Partnership from Homeland Security Investigations in 2020 and also led a groundbreaking investigation into forced labor within a Fortune 500 company’s supply chain. Duncan also spearheaded the Freedom Collaborative, an online global community platform against trafficking, and directed efforts at Fair Rubber e.V. and the Center on Illicit Networks and Transnational Organized Crime (CINTOC). Prior to these humanitarian pursuits, Duncan held roles in the legal and financial sectors as the Head of Legal for BNY Mellon Investment Management in Hong Kong, Regional General Counsel and Head of Compliance at ING Investment Management Asia Pacific, and also managed a supply chain consultancy in the UK and China.

Educated in the United Kingdom, Duncan earned an undergraduate degree in accountancy and financial management from the University of Buckingham and an MBA in finance from Sheffield University’s Management School. He also achieved a diploma and post-graduate diploma of law at The University of Law and was a Solicitor of England and Wales. He has produced several films and publications including Darkness Outside the Night and Emperors Once More, alongside insightful articles on human trafficking and modern slavery.
